FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We hope these help to answer most questions, but please ask Sue or any other committee member if there is anything you want to know.

 

A booking diary that is kept in the clubhouse, in case you want to reserve a court for a particular time when it is not being used. See Diary for league match and coming dates.

 

If you want to get involved in your club in any way please don't hesitate to let someone on the committee know! Organisers are always needed for the tournaments and there are many ongoing jobs in the clubhouse and grounds. Over the next 12 months fundraising for lights will be the main focus. However, new ideas for successful events or the running of the club are always welcome.

 

Private use of courts - any time they are not being used for coaching, social or league.

 

Keys - you can get keys from the secretary - see membership.

How do I get in a team? Please make yourself known - there are plenty of teams, so if you are at the right level is is very unlikely that you won't be able to get a game.

 

Balls - the balls used in the club are roughly paid for by league match fees - the balls are then used for club play.

 

Finances - the club is self funded through subscriptions, and we save money for planned maintenance, e.g. court painting and re-surfacing.

Where possible, for improvments we have applied for grants. We are grateful to Rushmoor Borough Council, Sport England, SITA for their support for the third court, club-house and toilet.
